Day 1 (afternoon and evening): I get a text responding to my Craigslist ad to trade my motorcycle. He asked what my CASH price would be. Since I needed a bike for getting to work, I threw out a number nearly 2 times the value of the bike. He took it. The buyer drove out to our house late at night, gave Kristi cash, then rode the bike home to Las Vegas. Good by to the Ninja. This i show it looked when it left my house.

Day 2 (morning): With cash now in hand, and a strict order from the CFO not to spend any more than I had in my hands, I began the search for a new motorcycle to fit my desires/needs better. I was thinking along the lines of an older Gold Wing since they are affordable around here and a dime a dozen. After expanding my search to include Phoenix and Las Vegas areas, I had found a classic Gold Wing in bright Yellow which had my attention. I don't want black, I prefer to be seen.
Before I knew it, a Las Vegas motorcycle had my attention. I texted the seller, explaining my budget, and he agreed to my price. The bike? A 2003 Kawasaki Concours with a lot of bells and whistles (Farkles in motorcycle terms, functional sparkles). This bike is awesome!
With over $500.00 in upgrades alone, I fell in love with this bike. I had a friend come with me and we drove to Las Vegas last night. After buying the bike, and loading it, we drove home through a blizzard which hit Interstate 40 area pretty badly. The storm slowed us down, but at 3:00 am we were safely home. We unloaded today, and the bike is now mine.

More fun trip reports and photos later, but I am headed back to bed.
Happy Valentines Day!
